Meet Your Supervisors

Tana:

Tana has been providing supervised visitation services for thirteen years. She currently provides basic and supportive supervision, monitored visits, and exchanges. Tana has had additional training in interventions to promote change, parenting skills, and behaviors that facilitate positive attachment, separation, and re-connection. She is a member of the Oklahoma Chapter of the

Supervised Visitation Network.

Brandi:

Brandi has been providing supervised visitation services for four years. She currently provides basic supervision, conducts monitoring, and exchanges. She is a member of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Supervised Visitation

Network.

Kate:

Kate has been providing supervised visitation services for approximately a year. Kate currently provides basic supervision, conducts monitoring, and exchanges. She is bilingual in Spanish and Kate is a member of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Supervised Visitation Network. 

Johnnie:

Johnnie has been has been providing supervised visitation services for approximately seven years. Johnnie currently provides basic supervision, conducts monitoring, and exchanges. She is a member of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Supervised Visitation Network.

Renee:

Renee is our newest member of our staff. She provides supervised visitation services in Kay and surrounding counties. Renee currently provides basic, supportive, and therapeutic supervision, conducts monitoring, and exchanges. She is a member of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Supervised Visitation Network. 

Professional Supervised Visitation

Specialist Training: 

Each of our supervisors has been trained in accordance with the supervised visitation network. Our staff meets monthly for training and staffing of cases. They have completed the following practicum:

  • Direct observation of parent/child contact performed by a trained visit supervisor (shadowing);
  • Co-supervision of the visit by the trainee with a trained visit supervisor; and
  • Direct observation by a trained visit supervisor while the trainee independently supervises the visit (reverse shadowing)

Additionally, each of our supervisors have been trained in the following topics:

  1.  SVN Standards and Code of Ethics when developed
  2. Provider policies and procedures;
  3. Safety for all participants;
  4. Mandatory child abuse reporting;
  5. Professional boundaries, conflict of interest, confidentiality, and maintaining neutrality;
  6. Basic stages of child development;
  7. Effects of separation and divorce on children and families;
  8. Grief and loss associated with parental separation and removal from the home due to child abuse and neglect;
  9. Cultural sensitivity and diversity;
  10. Family violence, including domestic violence and the effects of domestic violence on children;
  11. Child abuse and neglect, including child sexual abuse;
  12. Substance abuse;
  13. Provisions of service to parents and children with mental health and developmental issues or other physical or emotional impairment;
  14. Parent introduction/re-introduction;
  15. Parenting skills;
  16. Assertiveness training and conflict resolution;
  17. How and when to intervene during visits or exchanges to maintain the safety of all participants;
  18. Observation of parent/child interactions;
  19. Preparation of factual observation notes and reports; and
  20. Relevant laws regarding child custody and visitation and child protection

About the Clinical Director:

Since 2001, Ms. Trotter Fleming, LMFT has been conducting Supervised Visitation Services. She has worked diligently to bring ethics and professionalism to the field of professional supervised visitation services by joining the Supervised Visitation Network. Ms. Trotter Fleming has been professionally training her supervised visitation specialists consistent with the Code of Ethics and training requirements of the Supervised Visitation Network.

Most recently, she has formed the Oklahoma Chapter of the Supervised Visitation Network and which has reached "Potential Status." By-Laws, Goals and Objectives for the chapter are currently being written.
